We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-starter to join our Data & Analytics team. Reporting to the Director, Data & Analytics, the Data Analyst (Intern) will coordinate the collection and formalization of the organization's data, and support ongoing products in the department.
This is a 6-month term position.

What you will do:

  • Review existing data, research open issues, and work with data and analytics team for validation and verification of data for ongoing projects
  • Conduct data cleaning, data merging, data quality control and back-ups
  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders
  • Investigate and communicate areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity
  • Work with the latest BI visualization tools and technologies
  • Conduct, document and validate both requested analyses and technical specs
  • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets
  • Create reports and dashboards using Domo
  • Support, track, and report progress of various projects

About You:

  • Ability to leverage insights and opportunities from data and metrics to formulate recommendations and build strategies
  • Recent graduate, or completion of 3rd or 4th year Engineering or Computer Science program
  • Hands-on experience working with Business Intelligence tools to deliver actionable data and analytics for business solutions
  • Experience designing and optimizing data flows for large volumes of data
  • Experience developing data warehouses and in modeling and/or data analysis
  • A self-starter who can manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python
  • Knowledge of Domo BI and/or Snowflake would be considered an asset

In BC, employees in this position can expect to earn $23 to $25 per hour, with opportunities to earn more as you grow and develop with us. Your salary will be supplemented with monthly bonus opportunities, annual profit share, wellness days, RRSP program and a generous benefits package.
