Description

This position entails the thorough examination and oversight of data coming from the Recycle BC program. The emphasis lies in upholding data integrity and effectively conveying analytical findings to both internal and external stakeholders.

This is a 12 month mat leave contract coverage with possibility of renewal on a 6 month contract interval.

 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all incoming data prior to submission to CM/Recycle BC.
  • Assist in the maintenance and updating of databases to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Address data entry errors/discrepancies promptly and verify data on a daily basis.
  • Conduct reconciliations between internal and external databases to identify and rectify variances.
  • Assist with or take ownership of other analysis and reporting tasks as needed.
  • Communicate analysis outputs internally and with company partners.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Undergraduate degree in statistics, data science, mathematics, or other quantitative discipline.
  • Two years or more of data analysis experience, preferably within the waste sector.
  • Great communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficiency in database management, with a proven ability to import, export, and format data from diverse sources.
  • Proficient in statistics and analysis tools, with a preference for Python packages.
  • Experience with visualization tools like Power BI.
  • Independent worker with strong collaboration and critical thinking skills.
  • Maintain focus in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating multitasking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
