Forge Connections, Fuel Growth: Lead as a Data Analyst at KenWave!:

We are looking for a Data Analyst to assist us with processing field-gathered acoustic data for pipeline condition assessment projects. This role also supports Engineers and Software Developers in creating and deploying new analytical tools and frameworks to extend our predictive capabilities.

Specific accountabilities include:

    • Analyze acoustic data and manage the implementation of the condition assessment process
    • Develop and improve Python Scripts for processing/interpretation of field data
    • Review and integrate signal processing algorithms of sound files
    • Build and maintain a queries/report dashboard using SQL
    • Simplify data processing and automate where possible to support analysis
    • Develop alternative methods for manual processes


Education & Skill Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Data, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics
    • 3-5 years of employment experience
    • A Masters Degree would be an asset
    • Experience with:
      • Python, SQL, and managing databases
      • Distributed data processing frameworks
      • Software best practices including testing, benchmarking and peer reviews
      • Working through the ML lifecycle for data-intensive applications
      • Advanced pattern mining, clustering and parametric sweep optimization models
    • Familiarity with Octave, Matlab and MathCAD
    • Prior acoustical experience including acoustic or optical signal processing would be an asset
    • Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
    • Abilitity to explain and synthesize the results of statisitcal models to a non-statistician
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technological functions including interfacing with external stakeholders
    • Familiarity with multivariate spectral analysis of time series data would be an asset
